  1. Hi,

Is there a way of the Table of Contents updating automatically in the document when a user finshes typing in the heading without selecting “rmc toc > update field > update entire table”.

I have someone telling me that they dont have to go through these options and if the amend a header in the document, the TOC header automatically changes to?

    • Hi Marc! I don’t think there is a way to automatically update the TOC when a new header is typed in. This is because a ToC is a field. The only ways I know of to update a Table of Contents is to:
      1. right-click the TOC and update all OR
      2. put your cursor in the Table of Contents and press F9 to update it OR
      3. Do a ctrl-a to select all then hit F9 to update all the fields in the document.
